Once inside the museum, you’ll find artworks representing wild animals from around the world. Featuring work by prominent artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Andy Warhol, Robert Kuhn, John James Audubon, and Carl Rungius, the Museum’s unsurpassed permanent collection chronicles much of the history of wildlife in art, from 2500 B.C. to the present. Don’t forget to stop by the Museum shop where you’ll be able to find a special piece of Jackson Hole to take home with you.
Now that you’ve worked up an appetite and have a thirst to quench, worry not. The museum is also home to an exciting new restaurant Palate open every day from 11am - 3pm. Here you’ll be able to have an unparalleled dining experience with views of the National Elk Refuge through gorgeous picture windows or al fresco if you prefer on their lovely patio seating.
Feeling refreshed and inspired to do more? Extend your ride from the museum. Once back on your START Bike, if you’re looking for a challenge, take a left when exiting the tunnel and head north for the START Bike selfie challenge! Approximately 2 miles from the museum at the top of a moderately challenging hill, you’ll lay your eyes on one of Wyoming’s most amazing vistas, Grand Teton National Park. Snap a picture of you and your START Bike with the Grand Teton in the background! Tag your photo on Instagram with #STARTBike for a chance to win a season pass to the START Bike system!
