What could be better on a sunny day in Jackson Hole than enjoying a brew pub tour by bike?!

We’re lucky here in Jackson for lots of reasons. One of those is having a great bike share system, the other, a growing locally crafted beer scene.  When combined, you’ll create yourself a microbrew of fun.  With (18) conveniently located START Bike stations around the town of Jackson you’ll be just some hops and a skip away from 4 of our very best breweries. After you download the BCycle app, go ahead and create your account. Once you select the type of pass that works best for you, you’ll have access to the entire START Bike system. Using the map feature of the app, will help you locate the START Bike station nearest to you. The app will also provide you with the number of available bikes at any given station. Once you arrive at a station you’ll be able to quickly unlock the bike of your choice and head off on your tour.

#1 –  Pub Name:  Snake River Brewing

START Bike Station Name:  Brew Pub

Draft Pick:  Snake River Pale Ale

Your first stop is an easy one, as our START Bike station is located directly on the beautiful front lawn of the Snake River Brewing. ‘SRB’ or ‘The Pub’ as it’s known amongst locals recently gave up their entire parking lot to create a wonderful outdoor scene. This new green space is home to not only our START Bike station, but lots of relaxed seating, cornhole games, and a gorgeous outdoor fireplace for the cooler evenings. Head on inside to grab a tasty pint from their always changing taps. Beers are locally handcrafted and have earned awards from the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup Gold Award.  If you’re interested in a tour of the facility, they’re available on Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. Call SRB at 307-739-BEER(2337) to reserve your spot!

#2 – Pub Name:  StillWest Brewery and Grill

START Bike Station Name:  Snow King & Cache

        Draft Pick:  Kolsch

Dock your bike at the Snow King & Cache station and you’re just steps away from Jackson’s most picturesque stop on the pub tour, StillWest Brewery and Grill. This two-story modern brew house opened just last summer and contains a ground floor tap room, coffee shop and outdoor seating. Upstairs at the restaurant you’ll find 10 taps from their in-house brewing operation, a full cocktail and wine list, and a gorgeous deck looking up at the heights of Snow King Mountain. While enjoying your pint you may be inspired to check out all the fun activities Snow King has available. Just a quick walk up the hill you’ll find thrills such as the mountain coaster, alpine slide, an adult ropes course, mini golf, and scenic chairlift rides. Go have a blast, a bike will be waiting for you when you’re ready for your next pub stop.

#3 – Pub Name:  Melvin Brewing (Thai Me Up Restaurant)

START Bike Station Name:  Town Hall

        Draft Pick:  2x4 Double IPA

Now that your adrenaline is pumping from a ride on the mountain coaster you’ll be all primed up to experience Jackson's most unique pub, Melvin Brewing! Melvin Brewing is part brew pub and part Thai restaurant. They boast over 20 beers on tap and are known for playing Kung Fu movies on the TVs and Hip-Hop beats on the stereo. With awards ranging from the Great American Beer Festival, 2015 Small Brewpub of the Year, 2017 Brewery Group of the Year, and Alpha King Championships, we think you'll be impressed. Dock your bike at the Town Hall START Bike Station and you’ll be just a minute walk from Melvin. From the Town Hall station walk west on Pearl Street up the little hill and look for the yellow tuk tuk out front.

#4 – Pub Name:  Roadhouse Pub & Eatery

START Bike Station Name:  Pearl Street & Cache

Draft Pick:  The Walrus, Hazy IPA with Tangerines & Peaches

The newest stop on the Brews Cruise, Roadhouse Pub & Eatery, is a brewery and restaurant that overlooks Jackson’s iconic town square (they have the only outdoor patio with an antler arch view!). An extension of Roadhouse Brewing Co., which was born in Wilson, WY in 2012 and now distributes to five regional states, Roadhouse Pub & Eatery features small-batch, experimental brews made from their 5 barrel system that pair perfectly with lunch, happy hour, dinner and late-night eats. To make a reservation and view menus, visit or call 307.739.0700. Roadhouse Brewing Co.’s production facility is located on Gregory Lane, so feel free to swing by their second location for brewery tours on Thursdays and Fridays at 5 pm. To experience Roadhouse Pub & Eatery, dock your bike at the Pearl Street & Cache START Bike Station and walk just 2 minutes north to the corner of Cache and Broadway.

Time for dinner? Being close to the town square offers an array of excellent dining options. Maybe something special on a menu at one of the pubs caught your eye? We’re sure they’d love to have you back! It stays pretty light, pretty late during Jackson Hole summer evenings, but your START Bike is fully equipped with lights just in case you get caught up taking in the sunset. Dock your bike at the START Bike station most convenient for you, or if it’s easier, lock it and leave it anywhere in our service area (see map for details) for just $2.00 extra.
